On June 2nd 2006, Liebherr-Aerospace Saline, Inc., formally inaugurated the expansion of its Customer Service Center facility for the Americas, doubling in size to 75,000 sqft.

Aerospace support by Liebherr started in the Michigan facility in 1989 and the company currently employs more than 100 staff, supporting Liebherr products on various airframe types with sales, inventory, repair and technical services for customers in the Americas.

Product lines maintained include the air management, environmental control, flight control and landing gear systems for such airframe manufacturers as Airbus, Bombardier, Embraer, Eurocopter, Gulfstream, Dassault and ATR.

For equipment that the company has no domestic service capability for, it acts as a liaison between the customer and the European OEMs, including exchanges and repair management.

The expansion was implemented with the vision: "Expanding to support our customers' future". Another 33,000 sqft is available for future growth at the existing premises.
